I really liked this phone holder and never had any problem with the front part of the phone. I liked the gravity system, very easy to insert and remove the phone. The parts I didn't really like were the plastic clips on the back that attach the phone holder to the air vent. One of the two plastic clips broke making the whole thing unusable as it can no longer be attached to anything. I cut it the first day I got it and never moved it. Unfortunately because I only had it for two and a half months before it failed. Appearance and ease of use were the main advantages, but durability is definitely an issue.
