Choking hazard - too heavy to cut

We almost lost our dog. We heard a howl, ran and saw our two dogs "fighting". Eventually the other dog's teeth got stuck in the holes in the collar (he has bitten collars during fights in the past). Trying to free himself, he twisted the collar and completely cut off the other dog's oxygen supply. The scissors did NOT cut the collar while it was so tight around her neck. The husband had to make side incisions and an incision in the back of the neck to remove the collar and then perform CPR. This process lasted so long that the dog died. After CPR and an emergency vet run for oxygen and x-rays (we thought she was paralyzed), she's fine, 'just' a serious neck injury. So five stars for durability, but this collar needs some sort of breakaway. special feature. Completely dangerous.
