Review on πŸ“ Raspberry Pi Zero W USB-A Addon Board V1.1: Plug and Play with Full Sized USB Type-A Connector and Protective Case (Deep Green) by Cesar Cook

Great addition to Raspberry Pi Zero and Pi Zero W! power and communication. Did!

This was very easy to do on my Raspberry Pi Zero W. No tools required. Works perfectly. Fits perfectly. No soldering required (which means you can take it apart and use the PI later in another project with no problems). Very helpful. Make a few configuration changes to the files in your home directory after blowing your SD card with Raspbian. Plug it into your Windows system and connect via SSH - Easy! I connected it to the laptop I'm typing on right now. Windows 10 connects to IT and gets the address 169.254.xx. You can connect to it via SSH. The PI can access the internet through my laptop's connection. This is ideal for a wireless PI Zero (no USB share to Ethernet adapter etc.). For the Pi Zero W, you can also (of course) connect to it via WiFi. In most cases, I just plug it into one of the USB charge ports on the UPS and queue up over WiFi (PI Zero W). No power adapter, USB hub or cable of any kind! It does everything I need for zero, power and connectivity! There are only two downsides. If you're using the Pi Zero's 40-pin header, it's going to look like it's going to be a little awkward because it's pointing down. Second, this add-on board costs almost as much as the Pi Zero W itself (and more than a standard Pi Zero). However, it eliminates the need to buy a power supply and you get IP connectivity too. That's why I bought it from the start.
