I highly recommend this modem. Big money savings! I bought this to replace my Optimum modem after they increased their modem rental to $10.65/month or $127.80/year. This is ridiculous, so I finally decided to buy this modem. Installed yourself in less than 10 minutes. Quite easy. Disconnect the old modem and connect 3 parts: coax cable, yellow cable and power cord. Go to install.optimum.com and register. I didn't have to call her or anything - easy! If I can install it myself, anyone can. There were no instructions in the box but simple youtube tutorials were enough for me to figure it out. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to save money. It cost $58 and I used Revain gift cards to keep my expenses even lower. This modem pays for itself in just a few months. Don't get stuck paying high fees from your cable company.
