Review on Finnex Stingray Aquarium Light 20 Inch by Melanie Lang

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent quality lighting

This Finnex LED light was a fantastic addition to my 55 gallon fresh water tank. It was packaged well and has been working flawlessly for a few weeks. I recently switched from an aquarium with closed fluorescent hoods and hanging filter to glass lids and LED lighting. Of course I made some important updates. Pros: Super easy to set up, super easy to use, and super bright (compared to every other light I've used). If you are looking for something for plants, there are better options, try the Planted+ models. It's not that this thing wouldn't work for plants, most likely it would, but as far as I know plants like the wavelengths that red LEDs emit and we don't have many. For an ordinary non-plant aquarium, the thing is quite good. It's very thin, which is why, as the ad says, it's almost invisible, seriously. Remember when you got your first LCD TV after all these years with CRT and now that huge space behind the TV seems empty? This is how you will feel when you come out of fluorescent lighting. Price! This is Finnex's cheapest flashlight and worth every penny. It also comes with a range of mounting solutions giving you multiple options for installing this light. The bad: He doesn't make me coffee in the morning, doesn't do the dishes, and doesn't work. not very helpful for network troubleshooting. In other words, I can't find anything wrong with this light. Long term update: 7 months later this light is still working. I even dunked one end of it in the tank while cleaning, stupid of me. He survived it without any problems and continues to tick. It works just like the day I took it out of the box and set it up. I would recommend Finnex flashlights to everyone. They make them in all sizes so stop messing around and get this thing already.
