If you are considering this product for my use case and there are many variables keep this in mind as it may work better for other uses. I bought this to power an LED strip with a USB battery. When I was at full brightness the unit turned off so I used a dimmer to lower the intensity and it powered the light just fine (forgivably the other boost converter I have does the same at 12V). The main problem I had was that this device produced a piercing high frequency noise that I couldn't get around. It has a switch to allow 9V or 12V which worked better for the bulbs I had. The light appears to be running around 9.6V (even though the LED says it's 12V) and this step can't handle that without making high noise. I didn't originally want the voltage switching step to be increased to make it easier. , but this feature proved critical to my LED performance situation.
