Copes with its task, works as advertised. But I personally had to get used to it. I've been using the Conair detangling brush for wet and dry hair since it was introduced many years ago and I really like it. Unfortunately, I have very long, very thick, unruly hair (and my daughter got it from me, for which she is less than grateful lol, not that I blame her). The bristles wore out and got to the point where they wouldn't even go through my hair before going sideways. I came across these brushes while looking for new ones for my daughter and decided to give them a try after reading the information and lots of reviews. I had never seen or heard of them before, so I didn't know how popular they were. Now that I'm used to it, I understand why. Good brush, albeit unusual. Looks like a rake according to my daughter lol. We both had to get used to it after using the other guy for so long. This one pulls more as it has a resistance that the ones I'm used to don't have, but although it pulls a little and felt a bit delicate for the first few days, it didn't break or hurt my hair. I blame my old toothbrush for making my head soft like it used to be so easy. I think the fact that the bristles didn't have much resistance caused my scalp to become sensitive due to the lack of stimulation. That's why I decided to give this brush a honest try, even though I felt a bit of pain after the first use. It does a good job of not breaking hair when in use and I love how easy it is to clean. Also no more problems with water filling my brush in the bristle cushion in the shower. I love the big shower comb that comes with it and the hair clips are the tidy little things that help hold your hair in place when you're cutting or styling. I have never seen these before. Just the ones that stay straight. I love the bows on them. All in all a nice little set and my daughter and I are happy with it.
