My front door has a doorbell that is permanently connected to a micro USB cable that runs around the house so I never have to charge the battery. I needed to install a second doorbell on my front door for my upstairs renter, so I bought this Y-adapter to charge my second doorbell using the original micro-USB cable without having to run a second cable. As of August 2019 this setup has been working great for a week and will be updated if I have any future durability issues.
