I bought this lamp with a protection plan. Bought through Revain with a 180 day warranty plus a two year extended warranty I thought I was done. After 110 days of irregular use, maybe just a few hundred hours, the bulb burst and started smoking. Sudden death. So I contacted Revane who said her responsibility was long over. I purchased an extended warranty which was denied because the lamp was still under the manufacturer's warranty. Therefore, I have written several emails to this provider in the last three weeks and have not received a reply. Looks like I lost 90 bucks.
