Safe and retains moisture well when using shelves.

Definitely worth the money. If you use a shelving system don't worry about moisture, it retains moisture quite well. If not, make a wet cover. It smells nice and is easier to clean than bark and wood, solo in my opinion. Reptibarl will look better, although this material is of great importance for male breeders.
