My little 10 lb Maltese chews at the location of the squeaker until she can tear the fabric and pull it out. I had to pull the squeaker out of her mouth before she swallowed it, and she had already swallowed small pieces of the plastic. I don't want to pay large prices for toys that will only end up in the trash a week or two later - maybe three weeks if I'm lucky. I put out two on a 12'x24' porch on the Fourth of July. I had been the victim of quite a few mosquitos the week before and didn't want 12 people to be miserable. These coils worked fine.
