Review on GM Genuine Parts Rear Power Sliding Window Regulator and Motor Assembly - Reliable Replacement for Optimal Performance by Sam Calderon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Unnecessarily difficult installation on a 2008 Long Cab Silverado LTZ

As mentioned, this is a tricky setup. I had to remove both rear seats, the lower window trim behind the seats, the car seat hinges, use a pry bar to pry back the upper center seat belt bracket to route the cable through, and remove the window stopper on the right side of the sliding window to install the cable. Worked like clockwork after installation. Also, do not remove the yellow retainer on the regulator above the screw hole, this will keep the cable springs taut until the unit is fully installed. Tools: Sockets for 10, 18, Torx T50 bits for attaching car seat straps. a flathead screwdriver to remove the old brackets (two included in the GM kit) and a couple of fairing removal tools.
