Meditations - 5 Stars

Meditations by Marcus Aurelius "The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts: therefore beware accordingly and be careful not to have ideas contrary to virtue and the rational nature ." Before I delve into the details, I have to say that reading the meditations has been one of the most challenging, but also one of the most rewarding experiences of my personal growth. The book did so much to reinforce my earlier beliefs and helped me broaden my horizons and inspire me to be all I can be. In today's world it is very difficult to believe in anything, be it divine beings or other beings. People or even ourselves. This is an epidemic that buries potential and love deep inside and lets anger and frustration dictate life. Love and a rational lifestyle. Before reading this book it is interesting to know the person who wrote it. Marcus Aurelius was the last of the five good emperors of ancient Rome. He assumed the title of Augustus after the death of his adoptive father, Antoninus Pius, adopted son of the late Emperor Hadrian. However, Marcus Aurelius tried to pass on the imperial dignity, as he preferred a much simpler philosophical way of life. He accepted this honor with the only condition that Lucius Verus, his adoptive brother, share his seat. a fear of power and duty instilled in him because of his interest in Stoicism, a philosophy based on self-restraint, reason, and destiny. own thoughts and own experiences. As you read this book, through introspection, good feelings will surface and bad feelings will in turn be expelled. In my daily life, quotes from his book come to mind when faced with difficult situations and they make me wiser. thoughtful and rational solutions. It's fun and rewarding every time I don't just act on impulse. This book is not for fun, not for adventure, and it is definitely not an "easy read". This book will help those who seek help, irritate those who don't, and charm those who want to learn and grow.
