I didn't really think this opener would actually work but I ordered it. We buy a certain brand of imported olives in a large jar with a wide, thick lid. It's too big to fit in a can opener or even use handy things on it. But today the can opener arrived and we tried it. Presto! In just one try, the vacuum seal was removed and the lid came off so easily. I can't believe we've been fighting over these caps for years and I just found the perfect answer. Then I ordered one of the same openers for regular thick lids.
