I bought two of these because I read they would work better if you had lots of layers, which I do. My hair is just below my shoulders. I've tried these few options and I've gotten good curls from the middle to the ends of my hair. You can change the type of curl you get depending on how tightly you wrap your hair. It was very pleasant to sleep with them, often they even forgot that they were there. Unfortunately, the only technique I could master with my hair was the back bun. I've tried and tried to use the technique they show in their video but my hair has too many layers and I had too many problems wrapping it all up. I wanted to be able to use this technique because it gave me more volume at the crown where I really needed it. If your hair is mostly the same length I think this would be great for you, it's amazing how soft and shiny curls can be without heat. I ended up getting mine back because with my very layered hair it just didn't work out the way I would have liked, I still had nice curls on the ends but like the other side I really wanted the middle of the catch and above.
