Review on Shoei GT Air Helmet Crossbar HI VIZ by Cody Bowie

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not sure if it's worth the money.

Edit 20210809: Contacted Shoei customer service about the unacceptable noise level and asked for help in troubleshooting after purchase. There is no "because of COVID". Oof, good. Total inconsistency, but it's a good excuse if you don't think about it. Deducted 1 star because I spent too much money. I also need to replace the modular helmet and while I don't know what I'll end up with, I GUARANTEE it won't be Shoei. Edit 20210704: I just added the Sena sound system. Even making the speakers with two layers of double-sided Velcro did little to mitigate the awful tinyness of iPhone music from the speakers, which were too far from my ears. All of this was in vain, however, as the rushing of the wind in the helmet drowned out most of the music. Subtract another star for a whopping $800 waste of money. *************** I bought this module thinking it would be significantly quieter than my 9 year old Nolan N90 module because the new Shoei full face module sure is quieter is half the price than what costs less. Oh no. While the face shield's "barely open" position and large vents allow for good airflow, that's about it - there's still a lot more wind noise than I expected (the vents are open). While I don't plan on having two crashes to see which is safer, I don't think the Shoei will cost $500. It's okay, but I'm not going to write my mom home about it.
