1. I saw some incredible amount of negative feedback that everyone has it crumbling, crumbling, etc. I don’t know, maybe I’m so lucky, but I think that those whose disk fails tend to leave reviews here, which cannot be said about the main part of the buyers - who are all right. The main thing is to handle it carefully, do not constantly remove it from the case (I have never taken it out for all 4 years), do not hit it and make sure that the temperature does not rise above 45 degrees. After all, the hard drive is the most fragile part in a computer. 2. Although this is a great model, now, in 2022, it may be more reasonable to pay a couple of hundred extra and buy ST1000VX000, which is faster in terms of writing (read speed is the same) and theoretically more reliable than our model, since it is made for video surveillance systems. I plan to take it in the future, and leave ST1000DM003 for torrents and as an archive, so as not to lose information if something happens.
