My dog was recently diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy (DM) which causes him to drag and his claws to bleed from contact of his claws with concrete. These boots help to protect his paws and together with the wheelchair we can easily go for long walks. In the sock they started to wear out after 4 months but I would reckon that if I take off my tennis shoes every time I wear them they will also wear out relatively quickly. I still think they are worth their money. If your dog doesn't have gait problems, I'm sure it will last a very long time.
