Review on HONEYSEW Walking Brother Singer 214875014 by Tara Ford

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I expected more from Honeysew.

I was specifically looking for a 5mm walking foot to work with my old New Home. I have a walking foot for my brothers but it is 9mm wide so will not fit the dog food in my new home. This walking foot does not sew evenly. I have purchased other Honeysew sewing attachments/feet and have had great results. When this presser foot didn't work as expected, I figured it was either me or my bobbin to blame. Or maybe just the fact that I'm new to quilting. It was only after failing a few attempts that I realized it was actually a walking foot. Especially the small lever that rests on the needle screw tends to get stuck in the upper position. This small hand is the driving force behind the movement of the dog's upper paws. I googled "sticky hand walking" and found that it's actually quite common. And I had the "solution" at hand. Use a baby ponytail. Wrap it around your arm and the needle screw. Or just buy a walking leg with an arm like my brothers. I know next time I will. Update 3/16/19: Tired of fighting this walking leg. Sent back for a refund.
