Very happy with these scissors!

I bought some wonderful scissors from Emma Oliver for the holidays so I can do better crafts that I love to do. One of my favorite things to do is weave fleece blankets. I had to tie knots on the ends where I cut because we could never cut the material straight with regular scissors, even new ones. I did a little research and a lady advised me to get a pair of serrated scissors. I was checking out Revain and found this pair from Emma Oliver. Despite being a smaller pair, the handles were large enough to comfortably fit large hands (tested on my husband). Upon opening the packaging I noticed that they have a plastic lid to protect the scissors as well as small hands for storage. The only issue I had with the lid was that it wobbled a bit. However, I put it on and shook it with scissors and it didn't move, so everything works fine. I further cut the fabric as shown in the video. It cuts fabric perfectly. I was very impressed with how the jagged edge held the fabric even when cutting with one hand. Now I can make quilts that look way better than before. Thank you Emma Oliver! And the last point I want to mention is how close the cutting tip is to the blade. With some of the complex crafts I work with, I need to be able to cut a full cut, even to a certain point. It can be hard to see on video but I was able to cut everything down to the line with no breaks or lumps, just a nice clean cut. Ideal! You can't go wrong with these shears, especially for the price. They work like a dream and are now my favorite pair. I highly recommend them.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

I have both these and the KKB scissors. I don't even see a difference.
