Forms mold and does not compact.

I pack lunch for my wife every day and used to use the same size bowls with plastic lids. We're trying to get away from plastic so they look perfect. Bamboo absorbs the color of the food it contains, such as berries or stew. But the worst part is washing the lids with hot water and detergent, then drying them and putting them away. When I used it again a few days later, mold was growing around the lids in the bamboo. I used the large bowl which was mold free and after the third use it started dripping into my wife's lunch box and made a huge mess. As a result, he lost the ability to seal. The idea is great but the product is really useless.
