UPDATE: Screen protector needed to be replaced. It turned out that the screen protector was the cause of my problems! +++++ I have used it several times since I received it. The first time, I couldn't easily remove the phone because the clear plastic was stuck to the screen protector. I had to use a butter knife to break the seal. It's a big phone and my little hands couldn't reach the bottom. The phone fit into the thin Otterbox cover with rubber edge. The next day I switched to a smooth phone case with harder edges, and each time it seems easier to remove the phone (the plastic doesn't stick to the screen protector as much). Some people commented that it's big on their hands. Well it's Note 8! First of all, the phone is huge, but it's better than walking around with a fanny pack or in your pocket. So far happy with this purchase.
