I love these lights. They are smaller, which is just perfect for me. They are great for decorating indoor furniture for the holidays. For me personally I find them perfect to turn into a cloud with some cotton to hang on my son's ceiling to create a small cloud that seems to have lightning. It runs on batteries, so there are no cumbersome cables to plug into the outlet. These lights have 8 really cool settings; perfect for how you want to use them. Another great thing about them is that they are 100% waterproof so you can use them both indoors and outdoors! The lights run on just 3 AA batteries (not included). I have yet to use this feature but apparently there is a timer feature that allows the lights to run 6 hours a day and be off for 18 hours which is perfect if you are using them as Christmas decorations! Turn them on as soon as it gets dark and they'll be on for most of the evening and off in the middle of the night and during the day.
