I bought these because I had a couple of older Dewalt self feed drills but needed a different size as I got the same results from these expected. Well it has a bug which is really frustrating. I'm going through 2 3/4" joists in a house that's over 200 years old. When the bit enters about 1/3 of the way, it will start spinning from side to side. I worked my way through the first few holes. I found that the bit was clogged with shavings. Now it takes me about 3 shots to make each hole. Work until it vibrates, then pull out and clean the bit with a small screwdriver. Repeat the draw, then finally go to the end. And about the last piece. the possibility of self-submission. I only have about 16 holes otherwise I would pull out my Milwaukee angle drill with a drill. Having just gotten a new 20v cordless Dewalt that has a much smaller body than my previous 18v drill, I figured it would be easiest to use this and this shorter drill that made it possible for me to work without punching between the beams. ll, good luck next time.
