Our aft deck is exposed to any strong West-East wind. The deck is a new composite floor vinyl deck, I believe that's what it's called. Our grill is large with a shelf on one side and a burner on the other - it has 2 wheels and 2 fixed legs. The people who built the deck made a "throw" to put the deck in so you have more deck space. The wind was so strong (although we didn't think it was that bad) that it was able to shift the grill and push it down the deck. I bought the rug hoping it will stay where it belongs. Finally the rain stopped enough for me to put the rug down and put the grill on it. So far so good - especially today we had wind again, at times heavy rain, and the grid didn't move. I hope our moving issue is resolved and of course we wanted to protect the new deck while cooking.
