Excellent mat. I use it on both my Weber Genesis BBQ and my Char-Broil Electric Smoker. I got one for my grill 3 years ago, it has held up so well I had to buy one for my new smoker. It's boxed but unfolds and doesn't stick out or anything, really as good as it would be for a rug. I have attached some photos of my smoker and grill and you can see the items for 3 years.

This mat is perfect for a Weber Genesis II grill (2 burners and room for spares). It protects the pavers from fat droplets and gives the grill cart a softer parking surface than a bare hard surface. It cleans easily with mild soap and water and has survived a full season of grilling with no signs of wear. It's an attractive addition (in a practical sense) to our modest terrace.

I haven't quite decided where my smoker is going to be, but I knew I would probably need something underneath as it would most likely be on grass or next to it, and I kind of don't want to set my sleeping lawn on fire or spill things that would be difficult to clean up. It does the job. It's not flashy (mine is black) and easy to sweep or hose down. It comes rolled up and was quite fun to unroll at first, but dissolved well so doesn't roll up under the smoker.

I bought this mat from a "storage shop" with some reservations, those reservations were completely unfounded. My rug arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Our aft deck is exposed to any strong West-East wind. The deck is a new composite floor vinyl deck, I believe that's what it's called. Our grill is large with a shelf on one side and a burner on the other - it has 2 wheels and 2 fixed legs. The people who built the deck made a "throw" to put the deck in so you have more deck space. The wind was so strong (although we didn't think it was that bad) that it was able to shift the grill and push it down the deck. I bought the rug hoping it will stay

This is a large thick vinyl rug. We have about 26 inches of carpeting in front of the fireplace, and honestly, that distance is barely enough to protect the carpeting. I didn't buy it for a BBQ or fire but for carpet and it was a master at both protecting carpet and withstanding burning coals.
