The quality of the stairs was excellent. Installation instructions and screws were not included. I don't have mounting screws because the manufacturer doesn't know the thickness of your swim platform or hull. Mine was pretty basic, but anyone using this (stainless steel (ss)) ladder should use fasteners, which are also stainless steel and not zinc plated. My installation was quite difficult as I couldn't get to the drilled holes where the mounting screws protruded through the swim platform. I had to glue a socket wrench to the 3ft pipe to hold the locknut in place while my assistant tightened the bolt from the top. Turned it on and it works great. We need a lower staircase. with age, and boarding the boat became increasingly difficult, with only a two-step ladder.
