I ordered this glass cleaner because it was said to be safe for all types of glass including windows in your home. And I really hate Windex and similar ammonia based window cleaners. The stench, the stains, even the nozzle from these cleaning products annoys me. So I was very excited to try this car cleaner in my house. Just for fun and humour, I pulled out an old bottle of largely unused Windex and compared it next to two windows in our dining room as well as our countertops, just to try it on a different surface. Windex came out thicker (big blobs) and concentrated in one area and slid down the window, it stank of ammonia as usual, it streaked and also ruined my paper towels. In comparison, the Ultra Clean smelled so good, the spray was finer, and the mist spread over a larger area, meaning you may use fewer sprayers and save money in the long run. It didn't leave any of the obvious streaks I've seen or ruin my towels. There were literally 5 criteria I compared and all 5 were in favor of this product. I don't like to waste, but I'm seriously considering throwing my Windex down the drain (or where it's safe to dispose of).
