I first bought an automatic feeder for our cats who love watching birds eat. I was very inexperienced in feeding the birds, so at first I just bought some old bags. The first bird feeding experiment was a total mess! Shells and seed pods were EVERYWHERE! I washed the windowsill every other day. So I started looking for other food for our wild birds. I found and bought this thinking it might be a treat for birds, high in calories in the winter months, nice and sweet in the hot summers and best of all, zero waste. Now our window is filled with all kinds of birds at any time of the day or year, and our cats are very happy. We have finches of all colors, pigeons, sparrows, you name it! Pigeons come so often that my cat can call them now. She puffs out her cheeks and makes noises that sound EXACTLY like a pigeon! She even fooled my husband because she sounds so much like you. Anyway, this meal is great. The food smells like fruit when you open the bag and eat every grain, no waste. If you want every bird in the area to come to your feeder to entertain your cats, or if you are a bird watcher yourself, this is an amazing food choice.
