My daughter and I were delighted to receive this set and learn calligraphy together. I did calligraphy when I was young and wanted to share this art form with my daughter, but this set is really just a little bit different with thick to fine markers, not an angled marker. The instructions don't talk about the angles you need to use to apply strokes, instead saying to use the tip to move up and the side to drop it. This is not enough to achieve the desired result. The writing pages give tips on how to keep the letters evenly spaced and at the same height. There are practice pages that improve the overall writing skill. Other than that the pages are cute and I think it would be nice as a painting set but it shouldn't be called Crayoligraphy unless 14+ can actually learn to write calligraphy style.
