After my mother fell over trying to get to bed, I decided it was time for some sort of paging system. I was across the house and couldn't hear her calling - at 83 her voice fades. She also has a habit of "talking" to the TV and making loud comments when she's reading her audiobooks, so I often can't figure out if she's calling me or just hanging out, and I kept running into her room, to see if she had to. there was something That makes you tired quickly! I just installed this system in my 1500 square foot industrial home. My main station is in the kitchen, the farthest room from my mother's room. All call buttons worked from across the house, through walls and closed doors. Mom has severe arthritis in her fingers and hands, but she pushed the button with no trouble. It's nice that the volume is adjustable and there are multiple options for alarm sounds. I was also pleased that the remote control is packaged in a sturdy case. with a very tight belt clip. Batteries weren't included, but it takes standard AA batteries, which I always have on hand, so it's not a big deal. Call buttons were supplied with batteries installed. These are non-standard batteries so I'll try to find more as soon as possible. Installation was quick and easy - just read the instructions carefully before you begin. A note: the alarm can only be reset on the main unit. You can't reset the remote pager unless you turn it off, so I also ordered a remote reset button (sold separately). For the price of this setup, it would have been nice to have a reset button. Overall I am quite happy with this system so far. It will give me peace of mind knowing my mom doesn't have to yell for me, and just talking to herself will save me a lot of unnecessary "hopping and running." I gave her a call button, attached one to the bed rail and placed the third in the bathroom. I also ordered an extra call button to stick in the kitchen just in case.
