Wow, I thought my windows would break from the force of the magnets. I adjusted the pads by tying a layer of microfiber cloth to each side with string. I then tied the rope attached to the side to something stationary in the house so I didn't have to worry about pulling out the fallen piece. Instead of moving the shapes back and forth or up and down, I found it better to rotate them. I don't think I would have such clean windows without this super magnetic kit - with adjustments. Be careful of your fingers too - bits were snapping on my fingers because the magnets are so strong it hurts a lot. Needless to say I only cleaned 2 windows that I look out of all day. I'm not too worried about the other 50. Also, I waited years and finally found this product - it really works!
