Review on DURAMIC 3D PLA Glow In The Dark Filament With PLA Plus (PLA ) Filament 1 by Jay Kenville

Extremely unreliable media

To be honest I have no idea what everyone else is talking about. I've made 20 attempts with different combinations of settings to get this material to stick securely to the bed and every time it's failed in one way or another. I do a lot of 3D printing, but I'm not a big hobbyist. I don't type because it's fun (although sometimes it's fun), I type because I need something to get off the bed. I have absolutely no joy in finding the right temperatures and settings. I want to print, come back in 4 hours and pick up the finished model from the bed. So I'm looking for a filament with minimal maintenance and maximum reliability. I use Ender 3 with tempered glass which has an adhesive backing. I don't use glue sticks or additives or anything like that because I shouldn't and maybe that's important. But as I understand it, it's just not good thread if the thread can't stick to a surface that's specifically designed for the thread to stick to (and to which every other thread sticks almost perfectly). This is the first thread I've used so far where no combination of settings or temperatures seems to help at all. Even turning off the heated layer after applying the first layer, as some suggest, doesn't do anything useful. It always curls up at the edges towards the 3rd layer, and if it does at all, it completely weakens or shifts by the 6th layer. I hate that. Out of the dozens of strains I've tried, this is the worst thread I've ever used. If you're printing for profit, not fun, then don't buy this junk. It costs neither money nor time. All in all I added a star because there is an indicator on the reel that shows how much is left on the reel which is a smart idea. Not that it matters, I can't even print a whole roll of this material. It's literally useless.
