Each skein was packaged in a plastic bag giving it a different look than what I found in the store bought. Since it was available in a store and not online, I paid the regular price but got my knitting project finished. Once you master the knitting sequence it will be easy. Easy change from beads and garter stitch. The trick is to constantly try to get 2 stitches between the balls and not to use too much tension. The downside is that sometimes the tangle will unravel, which can cause the actual cord thread to unravel. So it could be a good new project, but I'm not sure how it will hold up over time. These mats create hand-sewn rubber mats on the back. One recipient told me his dog accepted the rug as his own and not intended as a kitchen accent.
