Before using it I had to watch a YouTube video explaining how to use one of these and even then it took some practice but was halfway in my head I'm a pro, and now I don't have to worry about it (actually, I was a little afraid of it and left it in the box for a while). I was happy to see that even though the wand is quite small, the curls were quite loose and flowy, not tight like a corkscrew. I think it would be even better if my hair was a little longer than my shoulders since I could only do about 3, maybe 4 twists. The wand itself is beautiful, classy looking and very professional and very light weight. The price is a bit high but I have friends who pay the same monthly for conditioner and shampoo at the salon so there is a demand for it.
