Although they absorb some saliva and are a good size, the thick and stiff polyester padding sewn into the center panel makes using these burp cloths a bit like using a potholder/kitchen heater around their little faces to wipe. So yeah, it works, but I really don't like the feel. Gerber sells the best bird's eye burp cloth, which is almost identical to this one except it's firm and doesn't have that annoying stiff polyester padding in the middle.
