Central focusing mechanism is rough and jerky, attached lens caps fall off with the slightest touch and terrain is very sensitive to alignment. As the boat is always in motion, this means that the image is often partially obscured by black "shadows" moving from the edges - not at all what one would expect from a 50mm lens at such a low magnification would expect. My other binoculars are from Leitz, Nikon, Pentax and Bushnell. I would buy another pair of binoculars from any of these manufacturers again, but I would think twice before buying another pair of Barskas. I will keep her; you can be good enough
