Review on Givehooy Compatible EliteBook HSTNN DA25 ADP 120MH by Elijah Pope

Revainrating 4 out of 5

While we'll see.

Just so you know I never give a 5 star review before the warranty is up and i never had any problems. So I'll start with 4 stars. Here we have my wife's HP laptop charger. I bought a used laptop and it came with an AC adapter but we had trouble charging the battery. Even the two new batteries I tried didn't charge properly and the computer said they were bad. So I researched further and found that either the battery is bad or the laptop is overheating or the charger cannot supply enough current to fully charge the battery. I bought a new battery, this time from a different brand, and am waiting for it to arrive. Bought new fans, silver paste, thermal pads, heatsinks. They call it. I didn't install anything because it takes a whole day to completely disassemble and reassemble the laptop to get to the fans. Anyway, I tried my Dell 240W charger and left it fully charged without using it. I then turned off the system and played random Youtube videos until the battery died. It played for 4 hours and never accidentally shut down. So that's a sign that it might be diet related. The laptop's battery is still bad, so he'll get a new one next week. Previously, it turned itself off just a few minutes after unplugging it. So we assumed it was the battery, but it restarted after a minute or a week of inactivity, so I figured it was overheating. But the fans sound good. So when the new battery arrives I disassemble the system, swap everything out and put in a new battery, fully charge it with this charger and hopefully we're good to go. Our old HP laptops were 90W. After researching I found out that it comes with a 120W charger. I know for sure that using my 90w on my Dell will power the system but not charge the battery. Once the correct charger was connected, it provided power and charged the system and battery.
