These light strips are nothing new to me. I've used battery powered strips in several places around the home. Until recently, I had no idea that rechargeable light bars actually existed. You need to push the switch all the way to the right in "G" mode. This activates the motion sensor. I put my light bar in the closet. When I opened the door, the light came on. After closing the door, the light went out after 20 seconds. This strip of light, while not very bright, emits quite a bit of light. It is ideal for closets and bedside tables. Instead, you need this.
