The needle on my speedometer works and only works when it hits 30 mph or more on my Dodge Durango. After that he stopped working or only when he wanted to. I disassembled it and found that the problem is in the rear ABS sensor. Mine is mounted just above the rear diff pumpkin. Three nuts must be unscrewed and replaced with a new ABS sensor. Problem solved, speedo now works as it should. Studies have mentioned that you can take it out and clean it. It has a magnet and can be covered. I don't want to do this work twice, so I replaced my new ABS sensor.
