I have been using this Norelco wet/dry model for several years now and have never had a smoother shave. I have had other shavers over the years, Braun and two different Panasonics. The Braun model I had was not suitable for use in the shower, but often the shave was uneven and the skin felt rough afterwards. The Panasonic was a wet/dry model, but it really tugged at my skin. I may have bought models that didn't suit my facial hair profile or something, but when I bought Norelco it was a nice experience. I usually shave about every other day, which I find most comfortable. . Although Norelco has a really high price tag and a pretty massive base, be prepared if your bathroom runs out of space. That goes for holding a cleaning cartridge, which can be ordered in a 3-pack for around $20. However, shaving heads can help, mine usually last about a year before the replacement indicator on the shaver comes on. The heads come in a set of three and a spare tool is included, as I said I get about a year out of my razor but your mileage may vary depending on how often you shave. Overall a good product, my shave is very smooth and doesn't tighten the skin. My hair is short and curly and the shaver cuts without a problem. I use Harry's shaving cream, but I also use a sugar face scrub and rinse it off with hot water before shaving. As soon as I'm done shaving and get out of the shower, I immediately splash cold water on my face. Since using these steps I have noticed that my skin is not as uneven or irritated.
