Rim looks great, but I was only able to ride about a quarter of a mile on paved road before I had a blow out. This happen 3 times before I took them to my bike shop because I thought I was going crazy, so they installed another new inner tube, but that failed once again. On the third visit we finally figured that the rim tape was not protecting the inner tube, so we add an additional rim tape and have not had a flat yet after 2 weeks of riding. I don’t think there was much research and development done.
