I bought GUM 524 toothbrushes because I had gingivitis with inflamed gums. I used regular Oral B brushes. Before my order arrived I went to Costco and they had the Oral-B Pro-Health Cross Action Advanced Toothbrush, 8-pack for $14, cheaper per brush. I've had trouble finding soft toothbrushes at a good price in local stores and the selection was limited or non-existent. So I bought them too. So now I have GUM which I use at night and Oral B which I use in the morning after breakfast. Oral B is softer than regular bristles but still a little scratchy. In general everything is fine. The chewing gum has become noticeably softer and is much easier to clean. i like it more Gingivitis goes away and I think any brush will do for me, but if you want a soft toothbrush GUM is better.
