Spent a lot of time looking for the right scale for my small business. I regularly ship around 20-40 packages six days a week. I've used multiple scales in the past and have found some things to be quite annoying on most of the scales I've gone through. Here's what makes this scale outstanding, which was on my particular checklist. Keep in mind that these things may seem insignificant, but once you weigh and ship a few thousand packs, you'll be surprised at what ends up being important. It is fast: This scale weighs very quickly and reliably and resets to zero immediately after removal. I've used multiple scales that take time to pick up the weight and that time can add up. Easy to read: I don't have vision problems, but I really like the backlight, the size of the numbers, and the angle of the screen. You'd be surprised how many scales position the screen in a way that makes it difficult to see even when weighing a small package. The fact that the screen is backlit is another big plus. Imagine weighing an express mail in a room lit only by an overhead light. I've had many frustrating experiences with other scales trying to measure weight without touching the box or blocking the light on the screen with my own shadow. Always On: I now believe there is a setting to enable the scale. goes into "sleep mode" but thank goodness these scales don't do that by default. I can assure you that if it takes you more than two minutes to get your next package ready for shipment, some scales have to turn them on again every time. I'm happy to have a scale that stays on until I want to turn it off. Saves me a lot of time every day. That's all. This scale is ideal for my specific needs. Some of these things sound really stupid, save 5 seconds here or a minute there. But trust me, when you spend hours a day shipping, those times really add up!
