Only time will tell how long these cameras last, but the image quality is excellent. Daytime images are colorful and very clear. Night vision is so-so. The 1080p camera has a different LED layout than the 720p cameras I have. At night there is a huge blurry hotspot of infrared light in the center of the image. 720p cameras seem to have much better infrared light dispersion. But 1080p - wow! What a huge difference in clarity compared to the old analog cameras I've upgraded from. 720p cameras are good, but 1080p is worth the extra money if you can pump it.
