Review on πŸ”₯ Enhance Performance with EZDIY-FAB 5V ARGB SATA NVMe NGFF M.2 Heatsink SSD Cooler – Keep Your 2280 M.2 SSD Cool and Efficient (Thermal Pad Included, SSD not Included) by Raji Bentz

Works after second try.

I ordered this item for my Sabrent Rocket 1TB as I wanted to use this drive in a new build on an Asus TUF X570-PRO that comes with a heatsink plate for the second M.2 slot (under the GPU ) is delivered, but not the first (closest to the CPU). I thought it might be RGB as well since the price was comparable to a regular heatsink. For the first unit I received, when I opened the box I found that the RGB cables were broken. Revine shipped a replacement the next day. Even EZDIY-FAB offered to send a replacement straight away when they asked me if I was happy with my order, so thank you both for what I would call great customer service. The device was easy to install on my drive. I will note that it is not clear in the included instructions that the supplied thermal pads have peelable clear plastic protectors on both sides, so MAKE SURE if you receive one of these that you "peel off" the thermal pads before applying them. ! For those who already have experience with thermal pads, this is not difficult, but the inexperienced may not understand. The reported peak operating temperature of the SSD under load dropped 3-4 degrees C. This is normal in my eyes, I've seen cheap SSD heatsinks that actually 'raise' the operating temperature, so this unit improves (properly installed). the operating temperature and has RGB to boot, so I can recommend.

Pros
  • Grooved design, greatly increased heat dissipation area, cooling effect from 5Β°C to 20Β°C (depending on the environment), cooling the M.2 2280 SSD to a safe temperature to prevent overheating and throttling, improve computer performance.
Cons
  • Not sure
