After trying 3 configurations; Wall and modem, just a modem and just a wall, the result is the same. All 3 configurations with any ports resulted in repeated spikes in latency. Every online streaming service buffers and every game is skipped before it can be hit. In the speed test I was still able to get 300 up / 30 down. To make sure there was no traffic in my area, I tested at various times of heavy use over the course of 4 days with the same result. After I removed the connectors, my internet was back to normal.
