Review on πŸ“Ά Renewed NETGEAR CM500V Cable Modem with Voice - Compatible with Comcast Xfinity Internet & Voice, Supports 300 Mbps Cable Plans, 2 Phone Lines, DOCSIS 3.0 by Chris Fisher

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well it was easy. Avoid Xfinity Comcast rental fees.

I don't normally buy refurbished, refurbished or otherwise, but the modem has no moving parts. If it works when you plug it in, it should last as long as any other. Right of return within 90 days in case of error. It looked brand new when the box was opened, there was no mark on it and all the cables that came with it were the same. Plugged everything in, waited 5 minutes for it to boot up and connect, then went to xfinity. .com/activate. I entered my phone number, they sent me a code to enter. After 5 minutes my internet is running at the same speed as when using their rented device and the phone is working fine. Didn't have to call them which is an added bonus. Great device for the money. Has 16 download channels, beware of the cheaper $50 modems that only have 4 or 8. The Xfinity device had 24 download channels, but so far I haven't noticed any difference. MBPS download speed is the same when multiple devices are connected and running.

Pros
