HIGH IN SATURATED FAT

I had to update my last RAVE review of these delicious bars. Yes they are still delicious and in my dreams I will continue to buy them and start my day with half of one. But I recently had a blood test and my LDL has gone up A LOT since my last test 2.5 years ago. I wonder why? As a vegan, I've always been very careful about what I eat. I've carefully studied the ingredients in everything I eat: yogurt, hummus sauces, crackers, breads, bagels, cereal, Luv Crunch, plant-based milk, tofu, and even these Power Crunch bars. I've been buying and enjoying regular and PRO bars for YEARS. Even traveled with them. It turns out they all have a TON of saturated fat. PRO bars contain 10g of saturated fat, more than half the recommended daily allowance for everyone. The smaller bars contain 5-7g saturated fat, which is totally unacceptable when I eat everything else, and even my husband's vegan protein bars don't contain more than 0.5-1.5g saturated fat per serving. How high will my LDL be in about a year? (My insurance only covers one blood test a year.) If Power Crunch reduces the saturated fat content of their bars, I'll be back in New York in a minute to buy bushels of them again. Too little sugar, too much protein. but I just can't risk eating more of it.
