I have always used iOttie phone holders on my previous cars and loved them. Then I bought my Lexus RX 350 and I don't remember having this telescopic grip phone holder at the time. The problem was that my Lexus didn't have the space on the side console (next to the shifter) where I usually put my phone holder. There's some room behind the shifter but under the media console - so I need something that slides out. So I just used one of my cup holders to hold my iPhone XS Max. I came across this particular model last week and decided to order it to see if the base part (suction part) could fit under the media console and then I would try to pull the lever out to remove the media. Console. To my delight, this little device works flawlessly - the base was able to snap (with a suction cup) into that small area, and then I was able to slide the bracket out so that it detached and was removed from the shifter. pen (and is at the perfect height for my eye). The suction power is rock solid and feels sturdy. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend.
